The whistle-blowing journalists, twice offered big-money deals to keep quiet about what they knew, have yet to find full-time employment in journalism.

On April 2, 1998 they filed a whistleblower lawsuit against Fox Television, charging they were fired for resisting pressure to lie and distort what they knew and documented to be the truth about Monsanto's artificial bovine growth hormone.

This website was posted on that day and has continued to provide details of the suit and recent developments regarding rBGH and other genetically engineered foods. On August 18, 2000, a Florida state court jury determined the story Fox pressured Wilson and Akre to broadcast was "a false, distorted, or slanted news report" and they found that Jane's threat to blow the whistle to the FCC was the reason for the termination.

The jury awarded her $425,000 in damages.
