HEALING OUR CELLS

The key to good health, healing and regeneration is following nature's laws. For good health, we require:

  • Proper nutrition

  • Adequate sunlight

  • Clean water

  • Clean air

  • Time in nature

  • Moderate exercise

  • Cultivation of an understanding mind, i.e., communion, meditation and/or prayer

  • Adequate rest

  • Meaningful relationships

  • Life purpose and simplicity in our lives

Our bodies are composed of over 15 trillion cells which are in a continual homeostatic process of anabolism (building up) and catabolism (breaking down). Every second our body creates three million new red blood cells. In two weeks we grow a new liver. In nine months we have a new body. The regeneration rate of cells within our body is truly remarkable. To regenerate our cells, we must supply ourselves with essential life elements: living foods, clean water, fresh air, sunlight and movement.

A healthy body and mind are synonymous with well-nourished, oxygenated blood. In the early 1930's, Dr. Otto Warburg discovered that the initiating cause of cancer on a biochemical electronic level was lack of oxygen. This finding won him the Nobel Prize.

Lack of oxygen on a tissue and cellular level is a condition known as ischaemia. This lack of oxygen not only produces pain, but also leads to the accumulation of toxins within the cells. Toxins are poisons which damage the cells and interfere with normal intracellular respiratory and metabolic processes.

Disease is related to unaccomodated stress resulting in the production of potent metabolic toxins known as "free radicals." The latest biochemical research has concluded that the essential cause of cellular degeneration and disease is the excessive build-up of "free radicals." If not removed from the system, "free radicals" eventually damage and destroy.

Cell wall damage leads to the release of intracellular protein which in turn stimulates an allergic antigen/ antibody reaction. This is often the cause of auto- immune diseases.

Research now confirms that arthritis, cancer and AIDS, for example, are actually allergic auto-immune diseases. These allergic auto-immune diseases do not occur in bodies with strong, healthy immune systems and detoxified, well-oxygenated blood.

The body is continuously cleansing itself of toxins through the skin, lungs, liver, lymphatic system, colon and kidneys. Degenerative diseases occur when these organs of elimination become toxic.

Auto-intoxication, the excessive buildup of "free radicals" due to excess stress, cellular toxins and environmental poisons, is the primary cause of most diseases. A healthy immune system and well-oxygenated blood are synonymous with good health.

The sources of toxins are:

  1. The human colon. Most cellular toxins are generated from within the colon itself. Science has discovered over 36 known toxic substances which are generated within the colon. These substances are created through the putrification of undigested food, mostly protein.

  2. Environmental poisons as found in water, food, air and drugs.

  3. Heavy metal toxicity from lead, mercury, cadmium and other metals.

  4. Normal cellular respiration and metabolism: urea, lactic acid, ammonia.

  5. Dis-ease. Prolonged negative mental/emotional states such as fear, anger, guilt, greed, hatred and jealousy constrict and restrict the flow of blood to the tissues. Negative mental/emotional attitudes contribute to the creation and buildup of "free radicals."

  6. Over consumption of fats and proteins which facilitate the production of bodily poisons

An important aspect of The Human Ecology Program lies in the understanding of the subtle interplay between the mind and body. Our mental and emotional attitudes directly effect our cellular chemistry, and our biochemistry, in turn, directly affects our mental and emotional attitudes. Our behavior patterns and the way we react to our experiences are a direct consequence of the oxygen capacity of our blood and neuroendocrine systems. As the blood, brain and neuroendocrine systems become more vital and free of toxins, we experience a dramatic, positive change in our mental/emotional attitudes. . .Feedomfrom Disease...
